McLeod Lake Indian Band is proud to celebrate Letitia Woytkiw, an educator at our daycare, who has received the 2025 Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education.
Letitia was one of 70 educators recognized across Canada for her creativity, dedication, and lasting impact on young learners. This national honour celebrates her outstanding commitment to early childhood education and her leadership in nurturing the youngest members of our community.
Through her work at the MLIB daycare, Letitia brings First Nation culture, language, and values into daily learning in engaging ways. Her approach supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development while grounding them in identity.
Letitia’s work reflects the strength of culturally grounded early learning and the vital role educators play in shaping confident and resilient children. McLeod Lake Indian Band thanks Letitia for her dedication and congratulates her on this well-deserved recognition.
