Honouring Our Elders | National Elders Gathering 2025

Our Tse’khene Elders recently joined more than 4,000 Indigenous Elders and dignitaries from across Canada at the 2025 National Elders Gathering in Edmonton. This powerful week-long event, themed “Honouring Wisdom and Healing,” brought together Nations to share teachings, celebrate culture, and strengthen the path of healing for our people and the land.

Honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women
Climate Change and Traditional Environmental Stewardship
The week concluded with the National Indigenous Cultural Expo (NICE), a joyful celebration featuring Pow Wows, Fiddle and Jig performances, Throat Singing, Drumming, Fashion Shows, and Hand Games tournaments.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the coordinators, chaperones, and volunteers whose dedication made this journey possible. Your efforts ensured our Elders were able to connect, share, and bring home invaluable teachings for future generations.
