Public access to Nááchę Mege (formerly named Site C reservoir) will open on June 26, 2026, at the Halfway River Boat Launch, Lynx Creek Boat Launch, and D.A. Thomas Recreation Area in Hudson’s Hope.
Since the completion of reservoir filling in November 2024, BC Hydro and its geotechnical contractor have continued monitoring slope stability, erosion and overall reservoir conditions.
To help keep everyone safe, BC Hydro had asked the public to stay off the reservoir for at least a year after filling. Opening the new boat launches is the result of that careful monitoring and planning.
