The McLeod Lake Indian Band (MLIB) is a strong and proud Tse’Khene First Nation located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. In recent decades, the Nation has been reclaiming jurisdiction and control over their territory. Now, MLIB wants those who work with their community to have a stronger understanding of who they are, the values they hold, and what to expect when working together.

The MLIB Cultural Awareness Training is intended for various audiences working in McLeod Lake territory, from small contractors to valued industry and government partners.

The MLIB Cultural Awareness Training is intended to:

  • Increase your understanding of Tse’Khene history, cultural protocols and customs, community values, and culture.
  • Help you connect the dots between history and the present.
  • Encourage reflection on personal and company practices and policies that may be harming your partnerships with First Nations.
  • And, overall, to improve our business relationships.

This self-directed online course has been developed for industry and government partners who are unable to attend a Cultural Awareness Training Workshop facilitated by MLIB.
